The compilation of a detailed case history is the starting point in our collection of data. Important health and communication questions are answered so that an insight is developed as to your personal history and how you have arrived at your present standing.
Otoscopic Examination
We take a careful look at your ears, externally and deep in the ear canals. This allows us to determine if a successful set of hearing tests can be completed. In some cases, the issue may be as simple as impacted cerumen. If so, we will advise you of such as this is easily treated and may solve the issue.
Audiological Evaluation
This step involves a series of audiological tests. Each one has its own purpose and adds a new layer of information. Thorough testing takes time and we take no shortcuts. Our patients appreciate the effort we put forth in this area because it always leads to an outcome that gives us the best results.
Review of Data
Once all of the necessary data has been collected, we now have the basis for an individualized discussion. We excel at explaining all of the results in a manner that is understandable and informative and we will answer any questions that you may have.
Recommendation
After our review, we will provide you with our professional recommendation. Does that mean you should invest in hearing instruments? Not always. We let the data determine what should happen next and we will tell you why.
